
Spiced Mulled Wine
The festive season is finally here and there's nothing quite like cozying up next to the heater (or if you're lucky enough, by the fireplace!) and sipping on a warm cup of mulled wine to celebrate the end of a (very!) long and challenging year. Fancy brewing your own? Try this simple, perfectly spiced recipe 🍷👌🏼
Serves: 10 glasses
Preparation time: 1h05
Ingredients:
- 750 ml red wine
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole star anise pods
- Peel of 1/2 organic orange
Method:
- Add all the ingredients to a large pot
- Let it simmer on medium-to-low for 1 hour and cover
- Reduce the heat to a lower heat
- Serve in heatproof glasses and garnish with additional orange peel, or cinnamon sticks if desired
