Homemade Chai Latte

Cozy up with a brew-tiful home-made chai latte! Warm spices together with hot black tea and frothy milk create the perfect remedy to fight off the Winter chill, and can be made in large batches to share with your loved ones! Thanks to its numerous spices, chai latte is high in antioxidants, improves digestion, and great for fending off colds. Give your gut a boost this Winter with this easy to follow recipe!

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups water
  • 4 gm of loose-leaf tea leaves (You can use the Tea Swag Set)
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup plant-based milk or dairy milk

Topping:

  • pinch ground cinnamon

Method:

  • Place the milk and spices in a small pot and bring to a gentle boil for 5 minutes
  • Add the tea bag and let it simmer for a few more minutes
  • Pour the liquid in your favourite cup while straining the ingredients using a normal strainer or one of our cotton bags from the Produce Bag Set
  • Sweeten to taste and top with a pinch of cinnamon
  • Serve it hot or let it rest and add ice for an iced chai

Tip: Make this in one large batch and store in a glass jar, just like any other loose leaf tea. Our Tea Swags are perfect for single/smaller servings.
